The main event of Lahti Design Week 2017 will be the ‘Finland 100 – 30,000 Years of Design and Designers’ seminar on 1 March, aimed at alumni, students and professionals and developers in the sector.

Thanks to a grant provided by the Asko Foundation, guests will be able to hear from six designers and developers in the industry, who went from Institute of Design students to holding some of the top jobs in the sector, both in Finland and abroad.

The seminar is organised by the Lahti University of Applied Sciences, Institute of Design. The seminar will be held in Finnish.

The last bus leaves Lahti for Helsinki from  Travel Center at 10.40pm and the last train at 11.21pm. The first bus leaves Lahti for Helsinki from the Travel Center at 3.10am.


All the hotels in Lahti and neighbouring areas are unfortunately fully booked, as the city is crowded with the visitors of Lahti2017 FIS Nordic World Ski Championships. But no worry – there might still be some places to overnight, hostels, B&B’s or private homes to be booked!
